PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION STATEMENT

Parfums Christian Dior (“we”, “our” or “us”) respects your legal rights of privacy when collecting, storing, using, transmitting or otherwise processing personal data and this PICS explains our privacy practices.

Please read the following carefully to understand our policy and practices regarding how your personal data will be treated. This policy may from time to time be revised.

For purposes of clarity, “personal data” means any information (such as name, occupation, address, contact details, ID Card or Passport numbers, credit card information, your age, your marital status, your employer, your income, demographic data) about an individual who can be identified from that information, or from other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

Purposes for which we will use your Personal Data

Your personal data may be collected when you make a purchase, apply to be our member or require our after-sale services. The purposes for which we may use your personal data are divided into obligatory purposes and voluntary purposes.

If personal data is to be used for an obligatory purpose, these personal data will not be marked as “optional” in the Members Application Form / Customer Card and you MUST provide your personal data to us if you want us to provide the service for which you are applying. If personal data is only to be used for a voluntary purpose, it is entirely up to you to decide whether you want to provide such information to us or not.

As part of our relationship, depending on the context in which your data is collected, we use your data for:

(a) management of relationship & contacting you through text messages (including SMS or through other messaging applications such as WhatsApp, Viber, Zalo), email, by mail, by phone calls or in any other lawful manner consented by you.

(b) enrolment into and maintaining your membership as our member;

(c) accumulating bonus points as our member;

(d) communicating to you your entitlements and privileges as our member;

(e) redemption of privileges as a member;

(f) notification of any amendment to the membership program;

(g) relationship building; and

(h) data cleansing and customers profile updates.

Purposes for which it is only voluntary for you to provide your personal data are:

(a) to enable us to better understand the demographics of our customers;

(b) for internal research and analysis to enable us to provide rewards, services and product information or offerings better tailored to your needs;

(c) market research;

(d) to enable our advisor to follow up;

(e) to distribute customer satisfaction survey; and

(f) to send out VIP newsletters and VIP program updates.

Direct Marketing

We also intend to use your personal data for direct marketing. In particular, your personal data will be used for:

(a) communicating to you regarding new product launch and other promotional offers, member-only events and workshops;

(b) communicating on-counter or out of counter services and events;

(c) marketing reward programs, birthday celebration offers, free sampling, digital campaigns, roadshow/outpost, in store promotion updates;

(d) communicating joint promotion or events with shopping malls, department stores, credit cards, banks, trades, celebrities, magazines, television, websites, mileage programs, cultural, art or musical societies/organizations, charities or non profit organizations; and

(e) cross brand joint promotions and/or events with brands within the LVMH group of companies which includes our holding company(s), subsidiaries, and any associated company as defined in the Companies Act from time to time (“LVMH Group”).

If at any point of time you do not wish for us to use your personal data for direct marketing as described above, you may exercise your opt-out rights by notifying us at the address set out in Clause 7 below.

Access to Your Data

Your data are for Dior services dealing with your requests. We ensure that only duly authorised persons can access your personal data when necessary for the above-mentioned purposes and in order for us to perform the services and/or deliver the products as ordered.

We do not give your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

We communicate your information only where necessary, and if possible, in a form that does not allow a direct identification, to:

  • Other Dior entities to provide you with the same personalised service worldwide
  • Our trusted third-party suppliers, including other entities of the LVMH group, acting as processors according to our instructions and solely on our behalf.

For example, we entrust certain services to third parties in charge of managing cosmetic vigilance alerts, third parties who assist us in the organisation of our events, third parties providing IT services, digital communication and public relations agencies, third parties who assist us with customer service and logistics services.

  • Department stores in which you buy our products
  • Our trusted third-party partners assisting us in the management of your orders. In particular, we entrust certain services to third parties in charge of delivering you a product, payment service providers, and providers securing transactions against fraud.

Please note that these partners may act as data controllers; in such case, they have their own privacy policies.

  • Third parties in the event of a change of control, for legal reasons, or with your prior consent

You may also choose to disclose your Personal Data to our partners, advertisers or affiliates by following a link to and from their websites. Please note that these websites have their own privacy policies.

Disclosure

In cases where we do collect personal data from you, we will:

(a) tell you (by way of this PICS or by a separate notification) that we are doing so and the use that we will make of such personal data we collect;

(b) where relevant, give you the opportunity to opt out; and

(c) tell you how we will store your personal data and how you can review, change and delete the personal data we have stored.

We will take all practicable steps to keep your personal data confidential but we may, subject to compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, disclose/transfer/assign such data to the following parties who may be located within or outside the Philippines:

(a) joint venture partners, any agent, contractor or third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer and other services to us in connection with the processing and storage of your data;

(b) entities within the LVMH Group or its licensees;

(c) if we decide to sell any relevant part of our business or appoint any distributor to operate the business, to any actual or proposed assignee, transferee, successor or distributor / franchisee; and

(d) any person to whom we are under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any law.

Security

Except as mentioned in paragraph 4 above, your personal data, however stored, will be accessed only by our employees or contractors who are authorised to do so. Where personal data is stored electronically, it will be kept on a separate server and will be password-protected (or under some equivalent form of protection) and accessible only by authorised personnel. Employees and contractors designated to handle personal data will be instructed to do so only in accordance with this PICS.

Your Right to Access and Correction

You may at any time request access to and correct personal data relating to you in any of our records. You may also ask us to delete you or your personal data from any active mailing or distribution list. To exercise any of your rights, contact us at the address, facsimile number or email below, marking your communication “Confidential”.

In response, we may ask you to provide certain details about yourself so that we can be sure you are the person to whom the data refers. We will generally endeavour to respond to your requests within 30 days.

What additional protections are provided for residents of certain regions?

Dior has adopted the data protection and security practices described in this Privacy Policy for all individuals within its scope. In addition, we also recognize and have addressed data protection and security measures that are required on a local or regional level. This includes, for example, those required for residents of the European Union/European Economic Area under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679.

In particular, the GDPR provides the following rights:

  • The right to be informed: you have the right to obtain clear, transparent and easily understandable information about how we use your Personal Data, and your rights. You will find all this information in this Privacy Policy
  • The right of access: you have the right to access to the Personal Data Dior holds about you
  • The right of rectification: you have the right to have your Personal Data rectified if it is incorrect or outdated and / or completed if it is incomplete
  • The right to erasure / right to be forgotten: you have the right to have your Personal Data erased or deleted. Please note this is not an absolute right, as we may have legal or legitimate grounds for retaining your Personal Data
  • The right to object to direct marketing: you can unsubscribe or opt out of our direct marketing communication at any time. You are able to do so by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any email or communication we send you. You are also able to request to receive non-personalised communications about our products and services
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time for data processing based on consent: You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your data when such processing is based on consent
  • The right to data portability: you have the right to move, copy or transfer data from our database to another. This only applies to data that you have provided, where processing is based on a contract or your consent, and the processing is carried out by automated means

You are also entitled to determine your Personal Data protection guidelines and directives in the event of death or external circumstances.

You also have the right to contact the data protection authority of your country in order to lodge a complaint against the data protection and privacy practices of Dior.

Retention of Data

We will keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the data was collected, or for legal or business purposes.

Personal Data which is no longer required will be destroyed or anonymised in a manner compliant with relevant law and regulations on the matter.
